Homemade Tacos

Well I don't make the shells from scratch but these are SO good! Something about mixing the beans and the meat together - one it stretches the meat even farther -- because everyone is getting beans and it makes everything easy to spread.

I will be using some hamburger meat that I browned and froze -- making this dinner even easier!

Krisi’s Homemade Tacos

Ingredients needed:
Ground turkey or beef – 1lb.
Taco Seasoning – 1pkt.
Refried Beans – 15 oz. Can
Water
Corn tortillas
Vegetable Oil
Lettuce
Tomato
Olives
Onion
Shredded Cheese (Mexican Blend)
Cilantro
Taco Bell Sauce (for Adam)
Sour Cream
Guacamole

Prep:

Meat/Beans: Brown, drain and rinse, add taco seasoning – mix thoroughly. Add beans to mixture with about 1/3rd cup of water. Heat until desired temperature.

Tortillas: Heat oil in pan large enough for tortillas. Fry tortillas and shape into a “u” for a taco, until lightly browned and as crisp as desire. Place on paper towel to drain.

Lettuce: Shred

Tomatoes: Dice

Olives: Slice (or use pre-sliced)

Onion: Dice

Cheese: Open package

Cilantro: Chop

Taco Bell Sauce: Packets to table

Sour Cream: Open container

Guacamole: Make fresh or purchase pre-made

Serve with everything in its own bowl so you have a Taco Bar so people can make their own.

So so so yummy!
