I started going into Rebecca's classroom on the first Thursday of the month and helping do art for the top of the calendar - this has been fun and Rachel can come along. This means I don't miss out on any me time while Rachel is at preschool which is nice!
I will be sure to get a picture of the calendar toppers but until then. Here is a picture of the town that they made. Some of these project obviously had a lot of parental help. Us... well I forgot about the project until the day before when Rebecca reminded me it was due!

Check out John Muir... I work in the Walnut Creek building but this looks great for the one here in Brentwood!
You can see her police station in that top photo - it does resemble the Brentwood police station which is what it was suppose to do! I forgot to take a picture of her with it - and it went into the recycle bin when we got home.
They made the houses out of milk cartons... themselves. You can see the difference in what a 1st grade does and what parents do. Our project was started by me and ended by her. That stupid triangle on top was HARD to get to stick on there!
