My favorite thing to drink this time of year ... has changed since previous years - in a way. I love to drink warm beverages during the cold winter months. I have always enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate or apple cider but this year having recently had Gastric Bypass in October everything I eat and drink needs to have a purpose... mainly getting to a set number of grams of protein each day. So my hot chocolate has now become protein hot chocolate - heated chocolate protein drinks. Surprisingly they are very yummy and I even bought some Peppermint so I could make homemade Peppermint hot chocolates like I would buy at Starbucks! As for apple cider - that is still a favorite and I recently got some unflavored protein powder to add to that.
