I feel like I have not been very productive around the house lately, and the playroom is where you can tell the most. Don't worry anyone the rest of the house is not that much better (it is a little better but still way to much CHAOS - Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome).
So the one thing I was determined to do this week was go through the kids toys this past week and get rid of some, pack some away and organize what we were keeping.
So here is what the room looks like now (well before they played a little).
I still need to do this part of the room (videos, books, etc.) - which is a project in and of itself so hopefully I can do that this coming week.
The other area that needs work is the closet (which is off limits to the kids) this will house all the art supplies and project stuff - right now it is in boxes and has not been unpacked yet.
Have I been that bad of a mom the past 6 months that the kids haven't used their art supplies yet??? Shame on me! I guess that will be something Rebecca gets to do soon. The closet actually doesn't look like this now - as I took out the Little People (on top and put in the Mega Blocks) and then two other boxes of toys are now also on the bottom. We are going to try to rotate some toys and see how that works for us.
So now that the playroom looks nice I can play - I can't stand going in to play a game with them and not be able to sit on the floor without sitting on something!
What else did I do? Let's just say I felt I was pretty darn productive - it is the whole accountability factor that I knew I had to post something today. So here are a few pictures from around the house (okay only the master bedroom, closet, and bathroom.)
BEFORE (closet - gift wrap up where I couldn't get it):
AFTER (got this on FreeCycle)
all fits there (plus there is more room and it is now next to the one that hangs up).
This still needs to be done - but at least it is all folded.
I did have a few other pictures but then forgot to take the after so we will just skip them.
All this cleaning inspired Rebecca to clean up as well. She worked on her room (in addition to helping with the playroom).
I explained putting everything over to the side wasn't cleaning up (BTW she learned that from me). So she went back to work when I came back to check it looked like:
Already .... I thought this would be at least 7 years old before they just stuck it all in the closet! Oh my! Well I helped her with that last bit and it is clean now.
This evening we also got the Square Foot Garden boxes done, well almost. We need to put a bottom on them - which I will go and pick up tomorrow.
You can see the other three in the background. And you can also see Rebecca there already trying to clean up the sawdust!
So my goals for this week:
This kitchen counter (of which that stack of paper I have already done) and the playroom books/movies and art supplies. That is enough to tackle I just hope it gets done - in addition to packing, and having some me time to scrapbook. Speaking of packing be sure to check out my WFMW post tomorrow.
Enough for today. Let me know what did you tackle this week? See what others tackled at Tackle it Tuesday hosted by 5MinutesforMom

Krisi, great job! You've been busy! I love before and after pictures. Sometimes I just take them for myself because they make me feel so productive.
