WFMW: Decluttering one baby step at a time

6a00d83451c5ac69e2011168599b2f970c-800wi

I just have to say how well the Declutter Calendar that I got from MySimpleLife is.  It is great to just have one thing a day to Declutter - I am a FlyBaby at heart but just can't get a full day routine down and cleaning too! So for now a morning routine and this works for me!

You can take a look at my Tackle it Tuesday post for this week and see a couple pictures of the simple little projects at work and what a difference they make.

A few of the things on the calendar include:

Clear off dining room table
Clean off kitchen island or ONE shelf
Toss old and unused makeup
Clean out one file drawer (... goodie I will have a day off as I did this already and have been keeping them neat and tidy).

Not only does she have the monthly calendar to look at and check off as you do them you can sign up for a weekly newsletter, hope this is okay to post but here are this weeks Simplicity tips. I LOVE to see this e-mail arrive each week. It reminds me to slow down, and enjoy life a little more.

1. Be thankful for indoor plumbing as you clean your bathroom this week.

2. Tackle and complete 3 things you have been procrastinating on.

3. Save time by putting things away as soon as you are done with them.

4. Donate, sell or trade at least 5 books from your bookshelves.

5. Identify the triggers that make you want to go shopping.

6. Leave 10 minutes early for every appointment this week.

7. Connect with at least one friend.

Be sure to go to MySimpleLife and get the e-mail yourself (dont' worry you only get one a week) and print the calendar if you like (it's free).

DISCLAIMER: I was not paid in anyway to write this out - I really do love the little things on the calendar and my weekly tips.

Don't forget to check out Rocks in My Dryer for other tips.

P.S. I had not read Shannon's post prior to finalizing mine, but this is her last week doing WMFW. Next week you can find all the great tips at Kristen's We are THAT family.

Wow, what a great resource! Thank you so much for sharing this link. I get overwhelmed thinking of everything I need to take care of, but breaking it into little tasks everyday is perfect =)

I just learned about these "hot spots" and have been working hard to keep them uncluttered! Great tip!

Thanks for sharing this tip! I need all the help I can get to conquer our chaos! Thanks, too, for stopping by my WFMW post about one-on-one time with kids!
