We had a busy week this week, with lots of picture taking. Although I still missed a day of taking a picture – Tuesday at the baby shower. I sent an e-mail out to someone who got a group shot to see if she could e-mail it to me. I will stick it in there if she does. If not I will just modify that space.
I was listening to The Digi Show and they were talking about projects and releasing some of the burdens that many place on them doing “projects”. This is the first time I have gotten this far on a project. I wanted to do P52 last year and I couldn’t even decide when the week went (Sunday to Saturday or Saturday to Friday – since the first was a Saturday last year). So I am doing great this year!
I must say I am loving this method of scrapping as I feel like our LIFE is actually being scrapped, it is great.
Here are my two pages – for week 3.
I used supplies from Chelle’s Creations – What a Hoot and Gina Miller’s Journaling Cards. Images are linked to my gallery at Scrap Orchard. I did do a little modification to the colors of the word art so it matched the other colors better – I loosely used this tutorial here. The day of the week labels I made myself – I will try to package them up for you for next week – for anyone who would like them.
You can follow my Project Life pages on Pinterest also.
And for our family blog – the journaling:
Both Saturday and Sunday night the girls wanted to sleep in the playroom. Since Monday was a holiday we let them. Sunday they slept like it was a bunk bed using the really short table that the doll house used to sit on. Sunday morning we made spam and eggs (the spam was to use something from the pantry rather than get something else from the store (we are out of bacon right now). I was craving Fruit Loop Krispies, they ended up not being as good as I hoped for - Adam took them to work Monday for the guys there to finish them off. While the photo of my apple cider was taken on Monday it could have been ANY day. There are not many days that go by that I don’t drink a HOT cup of cider. Monday morning we went to the gym and then after got the haircutting place to fix Rachel’s hair, now I know to ask for it to be undercut. In the afternoon I took Addison, Abby, Rebecca & Rachel to Pump It Up - they were worn out when we got home, which was perfect as dinner was ready in the crockpot and they went to sleep early. Adam and I arranged for a sitter and we went to see A Joyful Noise (good movie).
Tuesday I did math lab in Rebecca’s class and then I picked Rachel up early from school. We went to Angela’s house for a baby shower for Jean. Rachel was a super big helper and it was great to visit outside of work with friends. Adam went to his birthday meeting and got a 7 month chip. Wednesday was the day I was finally able to do a 180 with my eating habits. It has been a ROUGH 2-3 months, and even when I tried to change it just wasn’t happening. But I am working hard to get back into a routine at the gym - even if I can’t do anything more than a 2.5mph walk on the treadmill and a little bit of training with the trainer, more than that just makes my lower abdomen hurt. With going to the gym regularly - I do a better job on my eating habits. Family Home Evening ended up happening on Wednesday this week - Rebecca took us on a trip around the world. In 2nd grade during December they traveled to find out more about the customs they have related to the holiday season. She did a great job telling us about the traditions, and remembering little details and facts.
Thursday was a busy day for us. Kayla had her first grooming - I hate it, I cried - she looks like a poodle, not a goldendoodle. She would not sit still for me to get a good picture of her. It started raining today and is suppose to rain until Monday, what a day to get her all pretty and groomed up! Rachel was adament about getting a nap - she started asking yesterday if she could please lay down and nap after school! She did get a very short one. Rebecca had dance afterschool and I had a doctors appointment, to talk about my recovery and follow up from surgery. We saw Mawmaw, Pawpaw, Nana, and Uncle Chad there. Once we got home the girls wanted to play Just Dance 2 - I do a decent job “dancing” with my arms! Thursday nights are girls nights and we played dominos before they went to bed. Friday Rachel worked on sorting her letter cards during the day and then as soon as Adam got home from work we went to the Stoneridge mall. Adam wanted to go to the Oakley store to try on M-Frame glasses - he ended up buying them. The Apple store actually had the black iPhone 4S in stock so I got a new phone - I love Siri! Rachel decided it was time to get her ears pierced - she was so brave and such a big girl. She is definitely proud - telling anyone that will listen. Saturday we went to the gym, went out for chinese at a new restaurant and then went to Grandma’s in the afternoon. We made Nachos for dinner - something we would have gone out for if it wasn’t for the pantry challenge.
