We hopped off the bus at Chinatown/Little Italy and walked around.
We didn’t stop to buy anything (probably should have then so we wouldn’t have needed to come back!) but we did head to Ferrara’s for another treat – we had a Lobster tail – a light flaky pastry filled with Bavarian cream.
Even China town has McDonalds – we did not stop to eat (this time anyway!) We did stop and have some spring rolls as well as a piece of fried chicken (both from a street stand) it was very good. They sure can cook a bunch of things from a small little spot.
A long line to get back on the tour bus at this stop.
Some of these photos I have NO idea what they are or even if the building has any significance but I took pictures because they were pretty! So if you know what they are… let me know!
First look at the Brooklyn Bridge
St Pauls Cathedral I didn’t realize it was coming up and almost missed the picture completely - so this is the best I got (oh well). I never did get another good picture of it while we were there.
Down at the end of the street you can see the construction going on at the World Trade Center.
Battery Park and our first glance at Lady Liberty
American Girl Place – we never went in. I regret it now as we could have found a little something for the girls for their dolls - and wouldn't you know when we get home that is all they want to do is play with their American Girl dolls! By the time we got to this last part of the tour I started to fall asleep on the bus so we ended the tour outside of Rockerfellar Center and headed back to the hotel for a little nap. The nap was much needed and a few hours made us feel refreshed and ready for the night tour.
Seriously this is until about 3pm the FIRST DAY!!!! Yikes - we did take it a little easier the future days!
